BERNHARDT, Terri Lee  - May 14th, 1962 - October 6th, 2019

Terri passed away on Sunday, October 6th at Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie surrounded by family at the age of 57.

Although she was still young in years, she would remind us that she was “living on borrowed time” as she lived life with no fear and a semi disregard for her own mortality.

We are grateful for this borrowed time as it allowed her to become a proud and devoted mother to her daughters Jodi and Cori who will miss her dearly.

She also got the opportunity to become a grandma to her only grandson Jackson- who was the light of her life (although she made it clear she wished he was not the only one).

Daughter to Peter and Doreen Bernhardt and loving sister to Becki and Paul Bernhardt. Former wife of Christopher Gay and current swashbuckler/companion to Theodore (Tao) Dekkema.

She also leaves behind an extensive compilation of crossword puzzle books as well as more Ryvita and peanuts than any one person needs.

We are sad to say good-bye, but she will live on forever in our cherished memories of her tenacious personality, extensive vocabulary, kind and loving heart and boundless realism.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Low and Low Funeral Home in Uxbridge, on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This will be a casual time of remembrance where people are welcome to drop by throughout the evening.

Her family asks that in place of flowers, donations can be made to Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie.
