BALL, Gerald Alvin - Peacefully at Lakeridge Hospital Bowmanville on October 25th, 2019 at the age of 92.
Born in London, Ontario, April 13th, 1927 to Alvin and Ruby (Simmons) Ball, youngest of two children.
Gerry is survived by his son Hugh and his husband Jacques Touchet and his cherished grandchildren Maxwell and Zachary Hayward.
Gerry is preceded in death by his sister Betty, by his cherished wife of 61 years, Jessie (Burnett) and his beloved daughter Susan.
The family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff and residents of White Cliffe Terrance who made Gerry feel so at home.
Our thanks also to the staff at the Central East Thoracic Clinic (Oshawa) and at 2nd floor Lakeridge Hospital Bowmanville.
A very special thank you to Allison Dunn and Dr. Aubrey Kassierer for their care and extraordinary kindness.
Visitation will be held at Oshawa Funeral Home, on Saturday, November 2nd from 12:00 p.m. until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. followed by a reception.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or The Canadian Humane Society.
