Johnston BruceJOHNSTON, Bruce D.  - With deep sorrow the family announces the passing of Bruce Johnston of Oshawa, Ontario.

Bruce passed away after a lengthy battle on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at the age of 72. 

Bruce celebrated over 46 years in the trucking industry; as a driver, safety supervisor and maintenance and compliance director.

He cherished the friendships he formed throughout his career.

Bruce and his family were greatly appreciative of his I.C.L. friend’s visits, breakfasts, outings and concern. 

Bruce expressed a great love for his 50’s collectibles, graffiti, Nascar and antique cars. 

He enjoyed restoring and displaying his antique cars and was proud of the multitude of awards his car received. 

Bruce was predeceased by his parents, David and Nora Johnston and his in-laws Paul and Margaret Grant.

Bruce leaves behind his beloved wife of 53 years, Linda (Lyn). 

Loving father to Derrick (Karen) and Jamie (Dawn). Devoted Poppa to Cody and Blair.  

Bruce is survived by his sister Donna. Uncle to Lorrie and Robert. 

Bruce will be greatly missed by his family; Jim and Kim Grant, Robert and Brenda Grant and his nieces and nephews: Kailey, Jamie, Robert Lee, Cory and Crystal.

Memorial Visitation at MOUNT LAWN FUNERAL HOME, on November 3rd from 1:30 - 2:30 PM. 

Memorial Service to follow at 2:30 PM - 3:00 PM
