RODDICK, Audrey Diane (nee Spence) - The family of Diane Roddick are saddened to announce her passing on Thursday, October 31, 2019 in her 89th year in the home that Diane, and beloved husband James (Red) Roddick, built 61 years ago.
Predeceased by Red (2018) and loved mother Hope Spence.
Red and Diane were fortunate to celebrate 68 years of marriage.
Dear mother of Brad and Patti Roddick and loved grandmother of Michael, Kendal and Taylor.
Diane will be dearly missed by Red’s sister and brother in law, Carol and Al Gorrie and their family.
After more than 25 years as an employee, Diane retired from the Oshawa Clinic.
She also volunteered for St. George’s Memorial Church in the Open Door Program and Mary St. School Breakfast Club.
Many special occasions hosted by Diane and Red in their home were enjoyed by friends and family.
Their favourite vacation spot for over 30 years was Cuba where they made many friends along the way.
The funeral will place at MOUNT LAWN FUNERAL HOME & CEMETERY 21 Garrard Road Whitby on Wednesday, November 6th at 3 p.m.
In memory of Diane, donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation would be appreciated.
