LOPEZ, Pedro - Passed away November 6, 2019 at the age of 97, suddenly and quietly, following his wife Pilar who passed away a scant three weeks before.
They shared 67 years of love and respect, building a life in Canada, facing challenges together and creating a future for their children.
Pedro is survived by their children Maria (Roger), Elizabeth (Carl), and Peter (Doro).
His work ethic, projects, and humour are remembered affectionately by their grandchildren Brenda, Lisa, Vincent, David, Victoria, Niclas and Elisa, and his exuberance continues on in the great grandchildren Keith, Judah, Samuel and Ana.
As the last of his siblings he is remembered affectionately by his nephews and nieces in Spain and Brazil, who enjoyed his enthusiasm for life and his many childhood stories.
An engineer to the last, he recently had thought to redesign wheelchair rollers for improved manoeuvrability.
A celebration of life will be held at the Lake House in Pickering, 600 Liverpool Road, noon to 3 pm. If possible, please advise the family if you plan to attend.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the United Way of Durham Region Charity.
