Dumais DavidDUMAIS, Albert “David”  -  (GM Retiree of 35 ½ years) It is with sad hearts that the family of Albert “David” Dumais announce that he has passed peacefully 2 days before his 93rd birthday, on Tuesday, November 12th, 2019. 

David is predeceased by the love of his life, Josephine (2012). 

He is lovingly remembered by his 4 children: Daniel (Carol), Robert (Ena); Denise (Barry) and Mary-Anne (Randy). 

David was immensely proud of his grandchildren; Sarah (Josh), Hannah (Garett), Rebeccah (Jack), Elliot (Natalie), Joseph, Emily (Danie), Brandon (Kim), Keltonn, Lachlan, Mike (Melissa), Owen, Olivia, and Krista (Nathan). 

David was born in Penetanguishene into a family of 12 siblings.  David loved music and his beautiful voice will be missed by all. 

Prior to working at GM he worked as a cook on ocean and lake freighters as well as Mary Grove Camp. 

He served with many service clubs; Knights of Columbus – 4th degree member and Royal Order of The Alhambra. 

He also ushered for many years at St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church and was a season ticket holder of the Oshawa Generals for 33 years. 

David leaves a legacy of love for his family, pride in his work and service to his church and community. 

Special thanks to Hillsdale Estates – Honey Harbour Staff, Lakeridge Health Supportive Care Unit and Kathy for her care and companionship for 3 dedicated years. 

Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Thursday, November 14th from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. GREGORY THE GREAT CATHOLIC CHURCH, 214 Simcoe Street North, Oshawa on Friday, November 15th at 10:30 a.m. 

In lieu of flowers, donations to Marygrove Camp for girls or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
