Moore LowriMOORE, Lowri (Lou) - Lowri (Lou) Moore (née Owen) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at Scarborough Health Network – Centenary with family by her side. 

Beloved wife of 53 years of John Moore.

Loved mother of Stephen (Jacqueline Doig), Justin (Christina Loewy) and Kayley (Richard Lepp).

Proud Nana of Jordyn (Sarah) and Bradyn Moore, and Jacob, David and Jennifer Larsson. Great Nana of Elliott Moore.  

Born in 1944 in Criccieth, Wales to the late Thomas David Owen and Anne Owen (née Jones).

Predeceased by sister, Betty James. Survived by brothers-in-law John James and Chris Kenny (Fran) and family, and nieces Eleri James and Lowri Ann James and their families.

Lowri was an experienced nurse and touched many lives while working at Fairview Lodge Retirement Home in Whitby.

At home, she created a warm, loving environment, filled with much joy and laughter (and Toblerone, which she loved).

Cremation has taken place. Visitation at BARNES MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 5295 Thickson Rd. N., Whitby on Saturday, November 30th from 11:30 am until time of celebration of life service in the Barnes Chapel Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations or contributions to a food bank of your choice or to the local fire or police department would be appreciated by the family.
