GALANTE, Margaret - (January 6, 1950 - December 10, 2019)
It is with saddened hearts that the family announces the passing of Margaret Maria Galante after her second courageous battle with cancer, on Tuesday December 10, 2019.
Daughter of the late Luis F. Borges and Maria de Carmo Bettencourt, Margaret, at the age of 69, a long-term resident of Pickering Ontario, passed away peacefully with her family by her side.
She will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 47 years, Claudio, children Louis Galante (Jen) and Diane Estrela (David) and her grandchildren Alex, Alyssa, Sandra, Sydney and Summer, her brother Louis Borges (Mary) and sister Ozzie Olivera (Joe), her godchildren Nancy, Helen, Keith and Sarah, as well as many nephews and nieces, relatives and friends.
Margaret was a loving wife, mother, avo, sister and friend. She treasured her family, enjoyed travelling, cooking and was an avid gardener.
Known for her sweet loving soul, acts of kindness, she was often sought for her guidance and wisdom. Margaret never complained and her devotion to her faith never waivered. She will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.
Visitation at McEachnie Funeral Home, Ajax, will be from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday December 13th.
Funeral Services on Saturday December 14th at 10 am at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 796 Eyer Dr, Pickering, ON.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude’s Children’s research hospital would be appreciated.
