SANTOS, Arnaldo Jose Freire - (November 10, 1930 – December 11, 2019)
Peacefully passed away, at the age of 89, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa with his loving family by his side.
Beloved husband of the late Idalina (2015) for 63 years.
Loving father of Sharon (Alan) and loved Vovo of Carter and Nicole Dunn.
Dear brother-in-law of Tina Juncal, Mary Melo and late Mario de Sousa. Fondly remembered by many nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Arnaldo was the first Portuguese to settle in Oshawa in 1955.
A retired 32 year employee of General Motors, he also worked in the merchant marine where he enjoyed travels around the world.
Arnaldo loved to spend time with his family and was known for his joking personality.
Friends may call at THORNTON CEMETERY and FUNERAL CENTRE, 1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, (South of Taunton Road and off of Dryden Blvd, 905-579-6787) on Tuesday December 17th from 10 am until time of service in Chapel at 12 noon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Ontario Shores Foundation for Mental Health.
