AYRES, Helen - Passed away on Friday December 13th, 2019 at the age of 96.
Beloved wife of the late William (Bill) Ayres (1996) and daughter-in-law Louise (2006).
Loving mother of Catherine Gowland and her husband Gary of Waterloo and William Rodney and his wife Sharon of Cornwall.
Grandmother of Alan and his wife Laura, Tuula, Matthew, William Kenneth and Sarah Keast and her husband Aaron. Great Grandmother of Lauren, Rachel, Hannah, Abigayle and Leah.
Predeceased by her brothers Doug and Allan and her sister Ruth. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and their families and her extended family.
In 2012, Helen Ayres was awarded the Diamond Jubilee Medal. Helen was active member of the Rebekah Lodge for many years.
Visitation at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home, 5295 Thickson Rd. N., Whitby on Sunday December 22nd from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.
The Rebekah Lodge will hold a service in the Barnes Chapel Sunday afternoon at 2:00 followed immediately by funeral service in the Barnes Chapel Sunday afternoon.
Helen will be laid to rest beside her husband during a private interment Monday December 23rd.
