Kovac JosephKOVACS, Joseph Michael - (September 6, 1926 - December 14, 2019) 

Passed away peacefully on December 14th, 2019 at Lakeridge Health – Oshawa with his family by his side.

He will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by his wife of 68 years,  Isabelle (Haupert) Kovacs.

Predeceased by his children Gary and Joseph (Evelyn).

Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Mary.

He will be remembered by his sister Helen (John Sharko). Predeceased by his sister Irene (Peter Sosin) and sister-in-law Pauline (Louis Schweigkofler).

Will be missed by his grandchildren to Ian, Sharon and David and his great grandchildren Madyson, Alyssa, Zachary and Hailey. Forever loved and missed by his nieces and nephews Linda, Peter, Stanley, Gail and John.

Joe started his apprenticeship at Ontario Motor Sales and was a mechanic there for a few years, he then went to General Motors of Canada, finishing his career of 28 years in Experimental Engineering.

Joe loved and took pride in caring for his family. Joe had a love for sports right up to the end. He gave so much of himself to all of us and he will be forever in our hearts.

Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Thursday, December 19th, from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. MARY OF THE PEOPLE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 570 Marion Street, Oshawa on Friday, December 20th at 11:00 am. Burial at Resurrection to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Jumpstart or a CHARITY of your choice would be appreciated.
