EBISUZAKI, Matthew Carl David - (1973 - 2019) - Matthew passed away on December 11, 2019 as a result of complications of a liver and kidney condition that he battled with courage and dignity.

Matthew was a loving son to his mother, Jean Elizabeth Ebisuzaki Misener and his father Herb Ebisuzaki.

He is survived by his brother Andrew and sister in law Brenda, and was a proud Uncle to their children Adam and Kristen.

He had many memorable outings, fishing with his uncles and their families Larry, Mike, Rick (Joanna) and Don Misener (Bonda).

Matthew left Toronto banking to manage a department in an Investment company in Vancouver and Calgary.

With the failing western economy he returned home, joining the movie industry as a driver with his lifelong friends Doug Warren (Julie), George Mantis (Joanna), and Chris Riedinger (Lee Anne). He truly returned to his roots embraced closely by his extensive family and friends from birth.

His love of sports was fostered through an Ontario Championship in hockey with the Greater Toronto Hockey League. From amateur to professional, his sports passion was only matched by his love for fishing. Few things pleased him more than cottage life, a day on the water with his family followed by their company in analyzing that night’s game.

Matthew’s welcoming personality was often shown with his culinary touch preparing that special recipe to make you feel comfortable and appreciated.

We will miss his sports predictions, flaming BBQ, and hockey pools but most of all we will miss his friendship.

A special thanks to Lakeridge Health Oshawa’s Critical Care and Acute Care health professionals for their care, commitment and support, and also to Aftercare for their guidance and assistance.
