Otto Rev CharlemagneOTTO, Rev. Charlemagne Leonard Benjamin 'Ben' - (December 31, 1962 - January 6, 2020)

Rev. Dr. Charlemagne Leonard Benjamin Otto died peacefully at Lakeridge Health Hospital on Monday, January 6th, 2020 in Oshawa at the age of 57. 

Ben is survived by his Mother Rev. Margarete Otto, his children Maggie, Benjamin, Justice, Melanie, and granddaughter Arianna. 

He was preceded in death by his late Father Rev. Justice Otto. 

Ben was born on December 31st, 1962 in Krugersdorp, South Africa.

At the age of 10 he moved to Toronto, Canada.

Ben has earned the following four degrees: BA Philosophy, U of T (1985), ThM, OBC (1988), MDiv, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (1995), and a DMin, (2000) Tyndale University. 

Ben devoted his life for God and served in ministry for over 25 years. His children remember him as a loving, humble, and generous father who he encouraged to live their lives for Christ.

Ben was accomplished at playing several instruments, and often used them at church and to entertain his family and friends at home.

When he wasn’t travelling across the globe or watching movies, he was passionately serving the community as a Toronto Police Auxillary Officer at 42 & 43 division for 27 years. 

A funeral is scheduled for 11 am (10 am visitation, same morning) on Saturday, January 11th at Members In Christ Assemblies Church, located at 764 Ellesmere Rd, ScarboroughAll are welcome to attend and celebrate Ben’s life.
