BIRZVILKIS, Hilde Klara  - Left us for a better place on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, at 3:19 a.m.

She died peacefully with Glenn and Susie next to her, holding her hands.

She lived her life fully, anyone that knew her knows what that means, and loved spending time with and talking to family and friends, old and new.

Her granddaughters, Meagan, Rachel, and Bridget, were the highlight of her life.

She was born in Hamburg, Germany, on October 24, 1929, and moved to England after WWII to start a new life.

In 1954, she married George Birzvilkis (who passed away in 1990), and they emigrated to Canada in 1958.

And, finally, moving to her home in Ajax in the Lakeside community where her wonderful neighbours became such a big part of her life. She will be missed by so many, including her sisters, Helga Müller and Brigitte Grauel, and brothers, Werner Wolff and Jürgen Wolff, and their families that live in Germany, as well as her sister and brother-in-law, Trudi and John Pointner in Austria.

She'll be remembered fondly by her nieces and nephews and their families that live here in Canada.

Michelle and Kevin Grieve and their sons Michael and Tristan, Shawn Birzvilkis, Richard Gozdzialski, and Cindy Banks and their kids, Lea and Christopher, Irene and Ken Innocent, and their son Nicholas, Ann and Wayne Ritchie and their daughter Kristen, and Donna Bernotas, along with so many friends and neighbours.

Friends may call at the Mount Lawn Funeral Home, Whitby, on Saturday, January 11, 2020, from 3:00 p.m. until time of the Memorial Service in the chapel at 4:30.
