FERNANDES, Venia Veronica - (1934 - 2020) - Born in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania passed away peacefully on January 15th, 2020, at the age of 85.
Beloved wife of Joseph Fernandes.
Adored mother & mother-in-law of Ed & May, Rick & Patricia and Ken & Denise.
Loved by her grandchildren Jonathan, Samantha, Linsey, Rachele, Melissa, Kevin, Laura, Eric, and great-granddaughter Athena.
Survived by her cherished sister Cecilia and her brother & sister-in-law, Peter & Irene De Albuquerque together with nieces Nadine, Sabrina, Denise, and grand-nephew Thomas; and her late brothers Lawrence and Victor (children Sandra and Sidney).
Visitation at McEachnie Funeral Home, Ajax at January 21st 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church, on January 22nd at 10:30 - 11:15 AM
Following the burial, you are invited to a reception to celebrate the life of Venia. Please do not bring any food items since it is not permitted by the facilities.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
She will forever live in our hearts and minds. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
