Bonar DouglasBONAR, Douglas Anthony - (August 27, 1948March 28, 2020)

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Douglas Bonar in his 71st year of life at Thorntonview Nursing Home on March 28th, 2020. 

Doug is predeceased by his parents Anthony and Shirley (nee Rutledge) and by his beloved wife Valerie. 

Remembered lovingly by his children Tammy, Debi (Mark), Terry, and his daughter-in-law Cynthia. 

 

Doug is survived by his brothers David (Theresa), Jimmy and Patrick.  Adored Papa to Riley, Maja, Anthony and Nikola. 

He was a genuine and kind soul with a heart of gold, who was always open to lending an ear.  He opened his home to many relatives, friends and animals in need. 

Doug will be missed by all who touched his life. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME .

Donations in memory of Doug can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
