GREY, Ileene Jean - Jean passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 29th, 2020 at Ballycliffe Lodge Nursing Home, Ajax, in her 90th year.
Ileene, the daughter of James and Elizabeth Leebody, was born August 28, 1929 in Toronto, Ontario.
Ileene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Douglas Grey. Ileene leaves behind her loving children Steve (Mary), Bob (Flo) and Scott (Yu-Wei).
Beloved Grandma to Kristy, Kevin, Kaitlyn (Ryan), Tom (Allison), Tyler and Jason. Great Grandma to Alyssa, Lucas, Tyler, Paisleigh, Lily, Blake and Carter.
Ileene will also be missed by her large extended family and numerous friends. A special thank-you also to Tom Calow for all his love and support over the past years.
Ileene, known for her contagious smile and quiet demeanor, was a long time resident of Ajax, and spent many years volunteering at Ajax-Pickering Hospital.
Ileene was also known to tirelessly support the activities and events of her sons, whether in good or bad times, throughout her entire life. Her boys are forever grateful!
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private family funeral will be held with a Celebration of Life to take place at a later date (to be determined).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Diabetes Canada would be especially meaningful to Ileene.
