Boutin CelineBOUTIN, Céline   Céline Boutin found eternal peace with admirable serenity at the age of 77 on Monday March 30th at Lakeridge Health Centre in Oshawa.

She was the eldest of five children born to Marguerite (née Boucher) and Louis Albert Boutin. Born in the Northern Ontario village of Val Gagné, she requested to return for her final resting place at an undetermined date. Commemorative celebrations to be announced will also be held online and at Assomption-de-Notre-Dame Church in Oshawa.

A lifelong passionate learner, Céline made a significant contribution to Ontario’s French Language School System holding positions of teacher, school principal and other leadership roles.

Her interests were seeped in culture, literature and music as well as in current events, international politics and general practical knowledge. A woman of principle and integrity who communicated candidly, Céline remained highly caring towards others.

Céline was a proud, loving mother to Jacques. Just prior to retirement, she formed a loving bond with Jean-Pierre, sealed in Christian faith and their many common interests. Their adventures together included completing a pilgrimage of Compostela.

An ongoing blessing was the presence of their grand-daughter Sydney to whom they conveyed unconditional love.

Céline will be greatly missed by her husband of 24 years Jean-Pierre Tallec, son Jack Denault (Victoria), sisters Marielle (Germain Lacoursière), Brigitte (Robert Craig); brothers Jean-Guy (Mariette), Jacques (Lise); nieces and nephews Marc, Luc, Anne, Chantal, Guy, Serge, Jacques Jr. and Daniel Boutin, Michelle; stepchildren Pierric, Marilyn and Corinne; step grandchildren Stéphane, David and Sydney; as well as many friends.
