O'LEARY, Daniel Dermot O'Leary - It is with great sadness and broken hearts that the family of Daniel “Derm” O’Leary announce his passing on Monday, April 6, 2020 at the age of 77.
He will be forever remembered for his kind heart, witty sense of humor and his devotion to his family, whom he loved dearly.
He leaves to mourn with a heavy heart, his wife Jean of 54 years (nee: Power); children: Dwayne (Tara) Melinda (Derek) Bowers, Dermie, and Kyle (Donna). His precious grandchildren: Brett, Frankie, Jake, Erin, Taylor, Tanner, Clara, Mackenzie, Marley and his great grandchildren: Aliyah and Ava; his brothers and sisters: late Andy, late Edmund, late Matthew, Kay “Kitty” Harding, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Matthew and Bridget O’Leary.
The family would like to express their gratitude and thanks to the nurses and doctors of the palliative care unit at Lakeridge Health.
At Daniel’s request, cremation has taken place.
There will be no formal visitation or funeral service at this time.
A Celebration of Life to take place at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
