BODEN, Donald Philip Boden   - It is with broken hearts to announce that our dearly loved Donald Boden passed peacefully at Hillsdale Terraces on April 15, 2020.

Don was a fighter, but after years of battling cancer and a recent illness, he gave up the fight and was welcomed home into the loving arms of his “Heavenly Father.”

He will be sorrowfully missed by his devoted wife Jenny, children Kris (Stephanie), Dina (Matt) & beautiful granddaughter Abigail, and sister in-law and brother in-law Dinah (Bob) and family, and his children Michael and Adrienne.

Lots of special memories with his late mother in-law Alice.

Loving and devoted son of mother Ethel (Morris), his brothers Brian (Mary), Neil (Marilyn), Craig, (Elaine).

He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews, Jamie (Beverly) (Caitlin, Gabriel), Scott, Jennifer (Gary), Susan (Doug) (Dougie), the late Daniel, (Kelly) (Christian, Nicholas, Charlie, April), Pamela (Cameron) (Cam), Kevin (Amber), (Grace, Jared, Rachel), Matthew (Jay), Derek (Tasha) (Carter, Alexis) and David. A special thank you to the compassionate Hillsdale staff nurses, personal support workers, Dr. Cairns and kitchen staff and to all his OCC family for all their support and prayers.

Also a special thank you to Matt Boden for the recorded song he sang and sent to cheer up his uncle and for the many fun and encouraging visits and support from his family, pastors and friends during his illness.

Don had a zeal for life and a gift to make people smile and laugh, and to throw in some of his dance moves.

He will be missed by all of his family, friends, the members of his church, Hillsdale staff and residents of Hillsdale.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the  CHARITY of your choice or to a local food bank would be appreciated by the family.
