FINDLAY, Ann (nee Kane)  - January 29, 1926 - April 17, 2020

Born in Kilbirnie, Ayrshire, Scotland

Peacefully with family by her side on April 17, 2020 at the age of 94.

Loving mother of Alexandria (Gerry), Margaret (Graham), Georgina (the late Edward) and Isabel.

Proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren and great grandmother of 17 great grandchildren.

She will be sadly missed by the many honorary grandchildren by marriage and thru friendship who affectionately referred to her as Nana Anna as well as extended family in Scotland.

Predeceased by her parents Ann Allwell Kane and Henry (Harry) Alexander Kane and siblings Mary, Peter, Isabel and Alex.

She was proud of her Scottish & Irish heritage and she passed her love of Scotland on to all she met.

Owned The Croft Restaurant & Tavern with her husband Alex Findlay for many years until retirement.

Favorite hotspot at the time for many and allowed them to bring a wee bit of Scotland to Toronto.

The family would like to thank Rowena, Gemma, Gina, Cathy, Sri, Lindsay, Rosie and the other PSW staff at Oak Ridges Retirement Residence Aurora for always taking care of her as well as all the nurses especially Gita & Zihid.

At Southlake Hospital Newmarket - Lynn, Erin, Allison, Marla and most especially Heather for all their compassion, care & kindness not just to Ann but extended to her family.

Donations to the Salvation Army in Ann’s memory would be greatly appreciated.

As per Ann’s wishes a private family interment will take place at a later date.
