KALLICHARAN, Lily - (August 9, 1936 - July 15, 2020)

Lily passed away peacefully at Scarborough Centenary Hospital.

She was sent there from Seven Oaks Long-Term Care Home where she resided. We are grateful to the Seven oaks staff for their compassionate care.

Lily was born at Glazier’s Lust, British Guyana to Sunny Kallicharan and Baby Rajwantie. She was baptized at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, Fairfield by Pastor Kronkle in 1941.

She had eight siblings: the late: Ramkoomarie, Richard, Khadol and Pauline; and survived by: Lalta, Radhica, Golin and David.  Lily, her then husband and 4 children lived in different parts of Guyana before moving to Canada and settling at Golf Club Road and Lawrence in Scarborough, a location she always wanted to be near.

She worked at different places and the independence of the self-managed Sears catalogue store was the most rewarding.  With her steadfast trust in God, she regularly attended Sunday service and singing in the choir with her late sister Pauline. She also enjoyed reading mainly autobiographies.

Lily is loving mother to Linda, Shyam, Hardy and Ron and spouses Walter, Desiree and Benigna. Grandmother to Shari-Lou, Alaina, Devon, Dimtri, Andrew and Shyann.

She is missed and remembered by her relatives, extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers please send donations to: St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, Scarborough (https://www.saintmatthewlutheran.org/)
