WHITE, Dianne (nee: McMahon) - Passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, August 5th, 2020 at the age of 79.
She will be missed by Donald, her devoted husband of 54 years.
Her twin sons Glen (Samantha) and Christopher (Tina) adored her and will miss her terribly.
Dianne was proud to be Nana to her grandchildren Hannah, Abby and Gavin.
Dianne lived in Scarborough, Ontario throughout her childhood with her parents Robert and Alice McMahon and her younger sister Lynn (Richmond).
Dianne fondly recalled her time working at the municipal offices in Scarborough until the birth of her children. Together with her husband, they were active members and made many friends at the Ashbridge’s Bay Yacht Club.
Dianne was an astrologer and a counsellor. Her wise advice was cherished and will be missed by the many people she touched. Her capacity to care for people and animals was unrivaled.
Dianne reported her wish that there be no funeral service. She was concerned that the precautions required to protect her friends and family from COVID would complicate any such ceremonies. Instead, her family will celebrate her life privately.
Dianne was a longtime patron of the Humane Society of Durham Region. Donations are gratefully accepted through their website, www.hsdr.org.
