TURNER, Jeanie “Jean” (nee Frew)  - WWII W.T.C. 971 Women’s Timber Corps

Passed away peacefully at home with family by her side, on September 28, 2020.

Beloved wife of the late Albert Turner and mother of her late son Brian.

Also, the dear mother of Glenna Turner and her wife Kayleen Yakeley.

Remembered with love by nieces and nephews as well by numerous friends.

Jeanie and Albert met during WWII in Scotland when Jeanie was serving in the W.T.C. and Albert was in the Forestry Division of the Canadian Armed Forces.

They married in Scotland after the end of the war and later moved to Canada where they celebrated 47 years of marriage.

Due to the current Covid restrictions a Family Blessing will take place to be followed next year with a Celebration of Jeanie’s Life to be held when restrictions permit.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jeanie should be made to SickKids or the Uxbridge Legion would be appreciated by the family.
