SWAIN, Lorraine Dorothy - (1951 - 2020) - Passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side on Thursday October 22, 2020 at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, Ontario.

Lorraine had just turned 69 on September 20th.

True to her feistiness, in spite of advice given to her, she chose to have a family and had 2 children, Tammy (Richard) Norton and Holly. They were her pride and joy.

She was a loving Nanny to her 3 grandchildren May, William and Grace. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by her cousins, family and friends.

Lorraine battled MS for over 45 years. She rallied countless times always to come out triumphant. Her strength & positive attitude in spite of circumstance were exemplary.

This was supported by her long term involvement and devotion to Pickering Village United Church.

Lorraine’s sense of humour, dignity, grit, care for humanity and faith always remained intact. She recently spoke of her faith. Her very words were, “I know where I’m going and I have no doubt about that.”

It is very comforting to picture her pain free, running through heaven’s gate to be greeted by her mother Dorothy and father George.

Arrangements with McEachnie Funeral Home, Ajax.

The family would like to thank all the caregivers who assisted and helped her over the years.
