CUGHAN, Andrea Anne - (November 22nd, 1974 - November 1st, 2020)
It is with great sadness we announce that Andrea Anne Cughan passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020 after a brief illness.
She was 45 years old.
Andrea had Angelman syndrome, a rare genetic condition causing developmental delays alongside a happy and excitable personality.
She was a much-loved resident of Community Living Oshawa/Clarington, where she lit up any room with her infectious smile and laughter.
She was happiest when she was with other people, especially her mom, sister, friends, dedicated personal support workers, and day program staff.
Beloved daughter of Theresa Cughan, sister of Alison Dancy (Kevin), and aunt of Ryan and Erin.
Also survived by her loving aunt and uncle, Mary and Ken Durno, cousins, Keri-Lee Durno and Noel Coppins (Dave) and honourary aunt, Migz Parkes.
Andrea was predeceased by her father, James Cughan.
Andrea’s family wants to thank and acknowledge Community Living Oshawa/Clarington, where she lived for nearly forty years.
Andrea received exceptional care from all of the wonderful staff at her home in Oshawa and we know they will miss her as much as we will.
