TAYLOR, Elizabeth Margaret, BA U of T ‘46 - (1924 – 2020) - Peacefully in the early hours of December 1, 2020 at her home in the Port Perry Villa.

Daughter of the late Ernest Armstrong and Margaret Kirton. Born before electricity or telephone lines reached their rural home in Cherrywood, Pickering Township.

Devoted wife of the late Earl Taylor for 57 years. Dear mother of Ray, Margaret (Shawn Sevier) and Ruth (John Reed).

Loving grandmother of Heather (Carlos), Caroline, Joanne, Beverly and Kyle. Proud great-grandmother of Clara. Mourned by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her brother James “Mac” Armstrong and her son John (Wendy Mitchell). 

Elizabeth enjoyed entertaining her many friends and relatives by sharing stories of her long and interesting life.

The family wishes to thank the management and staff of the Port Perry Villa, Dr. Mahadevan and the visiting care givers who made her final days happy and comfortable. 

A private family service will take place in Port Perry, on Saturday, December 5th. Following the service, Elizabeth will be laid to rest at the Erskine Cemetery, Pickering.

Memorial donations may be made to the Epsom United Church, Community Living Durham North or a charity of choice.
