PIGGOTT, Donald "Don" - On Thursday November 26, 2020, Donald Piggott, loving husband of 66 years, father, uncle, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away at age 90 in Cobourg.
Don was born in Ellesmere Port, England to Frank and Emily (Forster) Piggott. He was predeceased by his sisters Ivy and Joan and is survived by his twin sister Marjorie.
Don studied Mechanical Engineering at City of Liverpool College of Technology, England and graduated in 1951. He moved to Toronto, Canada in 1952 where he met his wife Isobel (Patterson) at a dance, and they were married in 1954. He and Isobel moved to Ajax in 1957 where they brought up their three children David, Ronald, and Christine.
He will be sadly missed by wife Isobel, son David and wife Heather, grandson Ian and wife Alicia, son Ronald and wife Sandra, granddaughter Shannon and husband Colin and great grandkids Anderson, Grace and Nora, grandson Bryan and wife Kathleen, grandson Steve and wife Naomi and great grandkids Lexi and Lily, daughter Christine and husband Michael, granddaughter Cheryl and partner Kevin, and step-granddaughter Katie and husband Sammy, and step-grandson Zack.
We are comforted by the thought of him being reunited with all the animals he has loved over the years, especially Tommy his cat and Charlie his dog.
Visitation Details: Due to Covid, the funeral service will be immediate family only with a memorial celebration at a later date.
