Cockburn ElizabethCOCKBURN, Elizabeth 'Betty' - (December 30th, 1928 - December 2nd, 2020)

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, Elizabeth (Betty) Cockburn (nee Renton) on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at the age of 91.

Mum passed away at Scarborough General Hospital.

Beloved mother of Neil (Liz), Lachlan (Phyllis), Colin (Joanne), Gwen (Ken), Callum (Bernice) and Lorna (Jim). Cherished Nana of 18 grandchildren. Adored "G’nana" of 28 great-grandchildren. She also had one great-great-grandchild.

Mum was preceded in death by husband Thomas (Tommy) and her sister Greta and brother Bill.

An incredibly strong, determined and fiercely independent matriarch, Mum took great pride in her family and especially loved to get visits from the grandkids.

Although our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing that Mum is at peace. She will be deeply missed by all of us and we will carry her memory in our hearts.

Arrangements have been entrusted to BARNES MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOMECremation has taken place and a private family memorial will take place at a later date.
