FYFE, Matthew B. - (1936 - 2020) - Passed away peacefully on December 30, 2020, at Uxbridge Cottage Hospital.
Matthew was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1936 and met the love of his life Sheila in 1956.
The couple came to Canada in 1958. They had a wonderful 61 years of marriage together and he will be sincerely missed by his wife Sheila and his children Steven (Jennifer), Carolyn (Glenn) and predeceased by his son Scott.
He will be long remembered by his grandchildren Connor, Tyler, Troy, Lauren, Shealynn, Blake and Kaileigh.
He is survived by his sister Nan in New Zealand and predeceased by his brothers Richard and Jim in Australia.
Matthew enjoyed 27 years at Maclean Hunter in Toronto holding several management roles including President of Printing Operations. He was well known within the Canadian and US Printing Industries holding a number of leadership roles.
Matthew at one time enjoyed coaching and refereeing at Markham Soccer Club, eventually becoming President.
He was a long-time member of York Downs Golf Club and, during his retirement enjoyed travelling with Sheila and was proud to call Siesta Key, Florida his second home.
Due to current Covid restrictions, private service has been arrangemented.
