SHINTON, Stella Audrey - It is with great sadness that the Shinton family announces the peaceful passing of their loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother at the age of 94.
Devoted wife of Harry for 75 years and loving mother of Carol Runciman, Alan Shinton, Greg Shinton (Monique Shinton), Barry Shinton and Denise Cable (Roy Cable).
Cherished and fun-loving grandmother to 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Stella was born in England and after surviving WWII, crossed the ocean as a young woman to build a life with her husband in Canada.
Despite life's many challenges, she remained inspiringly independent and hardworking, with the attitude that everything will turn out alright.
Stella has been laid to rest at the Uxbridge Cemetery, next to her beloved Harry.
Donations in memory of Stella can be made to the Canadian Veterans Association.
