Kromer Hatch MariaKROMER-HATCH, Maria Theresia (nee Liebscher) - It is with profound sadness we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of our beloved mother and Oma.

Maria passed away, surrounded by her children, on Saturday January 2, 2021.

Maria was 87 years of age.

Maria and her husband Frank were the proud parents of Sandra, Gisela (Gary), Celeste (Steve), Frank (Barb) and Eric.

Adored Oma of Alicia (Jonathan), Ryan (Sarah Jane), Angela (Christian), Alexander, Andrew, Bethany, Daniel, Adam, William, Maya, Benjamin, Christopher, Keefer and Zachary.

Great Oma of Rebecca, Laura, Lukas, Eva, Leia, Hunter and Elliana.

Maria was predeceased by her first child Karen (2 weeks old), husbands Frank Kromer and John Hatch, brother Ernest Liebscher and sister-in-law Agnes Frank. Also predeceased by her sister-in-law Sister Helen Kromer CND (Congregation of Notre Dame) in Toronto.  From the time Maria arrived in Canada, Sr. Helen played an enormous role as her constant supporter and dearest friend.

Maria was a strong woman who persevered through much in her life with the strength of her beloved family and her unwavering faith. She was so proud of her children, grandchildren and entire family.

Maria’s favourite times were spent at family gatherings, family holidays in Bermuda and attending her parish of St. Joseph the Worker.  She loved to contribute through the CWL, Church Choir and the Seniors' Club.

A Private Family Mass will be held at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Oshawa on Wednesday January 6th, followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to her parish would be appreciated.
