McKAY, Charles Wood - (1925 - 2021) - Charlie passed away peacefully on the evening of January 4th, 2021 with his daughter Deborah at his side, under the care of the wonderful Cullen Garden staff at Fairview Lodge.
Charlie is survived by his bride of 70 years, Helen Mckay.
Charlie was father to four; Yvonne, Brian, Lorraine and Deborah, and grandfather to five; Sarah, Ian, Bryden, Cody and John.
Charlie was born on the Potterrow in Edinburgh, Scotland and immigrated to Canada in 1954. He worked at IBM for 30 years, took an active part in the Canadian Scottish Club, Whitby Lawn Bowling and the Canadian Legion.
He was a proud Canadian who loved, though lamented, his favourite hockey team the Toronto Maple Leafs.
But most of all he loved and dedicated his life to his wife and to the home they both created for our family.
We will miss you Dad and wherever you are we hope you are having a glass of Navy rum, some mince n’ tatties, and big bar of chocolate with your beloved son Brian.
