Wisneski WandaVISNESKI Wanda Helen - (August 18, 1931 – January 7, 2021)

On a bright and beautiful winter afternoon, January 7, 2021, The Lord called our beloved Wanda Helen Visneski (nee Wrubel) Home, in her 90th year.

She passed peacefully with her husband and daughter at her side.

Wanda was born in Oshawa, Ontario on August 18, 1931 to parents Michaelina and Karel Wrubel.

A devout Catholic her entire life, Wanda met her best friend and future husband, Joseph Visneski, at a neighbourhood dance. Together, they shared the Sacrament of Marriage on September 19, 1953.

Wanda and Joseph were blessed with two children; Robert Joseph Visneski (deceased) (Susan), and Janet Mary Klicnik (Vlad).

They recently celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary.

Wanda was passionate about cooking and baking, painting, gardening, traveling, and spending time with her five grandchildren: Brian Visneski (deceased), Joey Visneski (Amanda), Paul Klicnik (Irmina), Michelle Visneski (Shaun), Emily Urie (George), and her ten great-grandchildren.

Wanda is also lovingly remembered by her brother, Bruno Wrubel (Rita), sister-in-law Gertrude Godin, nieces and nephews, extended family, and lifelong friends.

Our compassionate, kind, loving and gentle Wanda is being honoured in a private Visitation, and Service at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, attended only by immediate family members.

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, a celebration of Wanda’s beautiful life and legacy left behind will take place at a future date.

Donations can be made to Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation, or Diabetes Canada.

Online condolences may be left at oshawafuneralhome.com.
