MARTIN, Irma May (nee Taylor) - Irma (nee Taylor), (formerly Lewis) was the much loved Mother of 6, Grandmother to 10 and Great-grandmother to 4.

After 7 years of declining health, Mom passed away on Saturday, January 16th, 2021 from COVID-19.

Mom was a very energetic, loving person who gave all she had to her 6 children; Brenda (Shawn) Lackie; Linda (Brian) Rowe; Dana (Rob) Scott; Andrea Lewis; Lisa (Trent) Leighton; Derek Lewis.

She will also be missed by her loving grandchildren, Aislin, Erin, Dana, Hunter, Nathan, Hannah, Avery, Neve, Cassie and Kaitlin, and the great-grandkids.

As a believer in giving back to the community, she participated in many activities as an actor in the Borelian Theatre Group, as a founding member and coach of the local soft ball league, as an Executive of the Port Perry Figure Skating Club, and in her later years, as a passionate, valuable supporter of Lakeridge Health - Port Perry.

She founded Gord Lewis Motors and the Port Perry Auto Supply with our father (predeceased Gordon Lewis).  They divorced after 22 years of marriage, but remained lifelong friends celebrating many family celebrations and Sunday dinners with us kids.

Mom later married childhood friend Bob Martin and celebrated 22 years of marriage until his passing.

Mom/Grandma is dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

A private family service will be held in Port Perry. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the charity of your choice.
