NOTTINGHAM, Roy  - (October 22, 1915 - January 24, 2021)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the loss of Roy Nottingham at the age of 105 after a grand life shared with beloved family and numerous friends.

Roy was the cherished husband of the late Doris (Bray) for 62 years. He was the beloved father of Jack (Karel), Gary (Sabena), Ken (Barb), Ralph (Diane), Nancy (Roger), Paul (Patty), Rob (Donna).

Proud and loving grandfather of Lisa, Lyn, John, Allen, Julie, Teresa, Sandy, Grant, Jeffery, Adam, Robert, Sarah, Aaron, J.R., Jerry and Cory.  Roy was also blessed with 26 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Roy was predeceased by granddaughter Tina, daughter-in-law Margit, siblings Fergus Nottingham, Marie Knapp, Erie Squelch, Frank Nottingham, Stan Nottingham and Ken Keefe.

Survived by niece Bea Downey, nephews John and Roger Keefe, sisters-in-law Ruth Gimblett and Donna Sandison and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

For 40 years, Roy and Doris farmed and raised their family in Raglan. Dad always loved farming, and after selling the Raglan farm, he continued to help his sons on their farms.

Family and friends who associated with Roy were fortunate to be loved by such a generous, wise and kind-hearted soul. He was truly a unique human being. He always presented a positive, appreciative spirit along with a little smile and twinkle in his eye, right to the end. Roy possessed an amazing memory and a gift for telling fascinating stories about his many and varied experiences.

A special thank you to the staff at Lakeridge Health Port Perry for their loving care and family support.

Due to the restrictions of COVID-19 a private service with family and friends will be held in Port Perry. Interment, in Prince Albert.

If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Port Perry Hospital Foundation.
