Richadson GordonRICHARDSON, Gordon Allen  -  September 11, 1953January 24, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Gordon Allen Richardson on January 24, 2021 in his sixty-eighth year.

Gord will be missed dearly by his loving wife Helen, his children Gregory (Becca), Lauren and Daniel (Alysa) and by his grandchildren Ella, Peter, Chloe, Gemma, Luke, Lily, Luna and Gabriel.

Gord is predeceased by his parents Charles Richardson and Helen Mackey.

He is survived by his brothers Robert (Linda) and Murray (Cindy), his brothers-in-law David (Catherine), Michael (Donna) and Stephen Lewis, sisters-in-law Margaret Nicholls (John), Monica Cockerton and Dianne Dunham (Phil Vinson) and many nieces and nephews.

Gord was a retired employee of the Ministry of Transportation.

He was a longtime member of St. Mary of the People Parish and an active member of the Knights of Columbus.

He was a loving father, always involved in his children’s activities including Beavers, coaching hockey and soccer and countless school field trips.

Later Gord took up long distance running where he made many good friends, especially Jim and Karin, and participated in many marathons, qualifying for Boston twelve times in a row.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family service and interment will take place.

Arrangements entrusted with OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME

Donations in Gord’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
