Thompson ElizabethTHOMPSON, Elizabeth Theresa 'Betty' - On  Tuesday, February 9, 2021, Elizabeth Theresa (Betty Thompson) suddenly left us peacefully after a lengthy sickness  at the Lakeridge Health Bowmanville Hospital at the age of 88.

Betty will be joining her much loved husband of over 50 years married, Gordon and her oldest daughter Patricia (Elms) in heaven.

Proud daughter of predeceased parents Honore’ and Angelina Robertson from northern Ontario.

She will be so missed and loved by her surviving children Audrey Niles (Warren), Terri Burns (Tim), Brian Thompson (Dru), Kevin Thompson (Marilyn), and Darrin Thompson (Lynnette), along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her siblings Dorothy, Claire, Mignonne, Doreen, Shirley.

Betty was born in Sudbury, Ontario July 16, 1932.

As the patriarch of the family she lived a full and prosperous life of 88 years.

Most of her childhood was spent in the small mining town of Missanabie Ont. with her 5 sisters. There she met the love of her life and married and moved to the west coast of Canada and gave birth to her first daughter Patricia. From there she took her small family to Toronto where she raised another 5 children.   

A private family service will be held at the Morris Funeral Chapel, 4 Division Street, Bowmanville, Ontario L1C 2Z1 Tuesday, February 16th at 11:00AM.
