DURAND, Bernadette Rosemarie 'Bernie' (nee Spencer) (July 31st, 1934  February 28th, 2021) - 

(Avid square dancer; member of St. Thomas More Catholic Women’s Council)

Bernie, loving wife for 62 years of the late James “Jim” Durand of Mount Pleasant.

Dear mother of Orville and his wife Shirley of Tumbler Ridge, B.C., Jim and his wife Diana of Keene, Ivan of Millbrook, Gregory of Peterborough, and Kevin and his wife Carolyn of Peterborough.

Sadly missed by grandchildren Aimee, Lee, Jacob, Jessica; Lynn, David; Brendan, Matthew; Ian, Jeremy, Michael; Nicolas (predeceased), Chantal; their spouses, and 16 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandson.

Sister of Bernard Spencer of Stonecliffe (predeceased), Frank Spencer of Guelph, Rick Spencer of Kingston, and the late Joseph.

Friends may call at ST. THOMAS MORE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, Millbrook, on Saturday March 6th from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.  COVID-19 Restrictions will apply.  Space is limited for visitation. Private family mass will take place at 11:00 a.m. Cremation, with interment.

Donations in Bernie’s memory to the Alzheimer Society or St. Thomas More Church would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements out of Newcastle.
