REYNOLDS, John Edward - It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that the family of John Reynolds announces his passing.
John fought a hard battle with Cancer and Alzheimer's and left us on February 21, 2021 at the Lakeridge Health Bowmanville Hospital at the age of 72.
John was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, friend and so much more. For over 50 years he shared his life in marriage with his soul mate Carolyn (nee White) Reynolds. Together, he and Carolyn raised their daughter Shilo (Wassim) Moussa, who they were/are so incredibly proud of.
John was the most loved Granddad to his grandchildren, Aidan, Laila and Phoenix. John had a wonderful relationship with his mother, Patricia who predeceased him in 1993. It brings comfort to the family knowing that they are together now, where he is likely already pulling pranks on her.
John will be remembered by his extended family as well. Brother to Jean and Susan, uncle to Lisa, Michele, Jeff and Patrick and great-uncle to Sara and Emily. John will also be forever missed by his treasured and exceptional sister-in-law/brother-in-law, Susan and Ken.
Carolyn would like to acknowledge the many special connections and precious friends that are loved as family, who are and have touched her and John's lives: Ken and Carol, Kathy, Rena and Billy, Jessica and Angie, Heather and Allen, Sharon, Bill and Chris, Peggy and Chuck, Paul, Rod and Marilyn, and all of their children.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the family will be postponing a Celebration of Life until it is safe to gather with one another, share a hug, laugh and enjoy all of the wonderful memories of John.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Canadian Cancer Society.
