RAMBALLIE, Alice May - Alice May Ramballie, affectionately known as Dhandaie, departed her adoring family on March 12th, 2021 at Oshawa Lakeridge Hospital.
She was the matriarch and the stabilizing foundation of her family.
Alice May Calu was born in Kingston, Jamaica on January 4th 1941, she was the 5th child of Alfred and Maude Kalloo.
She was predeceased by her brothers Wilfred and George and sisters Gallie and Elizabeth.
She is survived by her sisters Dharam and Jennifer. She was a loving and dedicated wife of 59 years to Lascelles, a doting and caring mother to Debbie, Robert, Cecile and Kishore, a devoted grandmother to Candice, Travis, Megan, Sheridan and Xavier and an extremely proud great-grandmother to Hayden.
She embraced her daughters in-law Wendy and Vanessa and sons in-law Roger and Simon, and her grandson in-law Rajkamal into the family.
A visitation will be held at DESTEFANO FUNERAL HOME, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa, Ontario L1J 0C7 on Sunday April 4th from 1-3pm followed by the funeral service at 3pm.
A privately held cremation to follow on Tuesday April 6th.
In keeping with the Covid restrictions a “Celebration of Life” will be planned at a later date.
