McDOWELL, (Thomas) Ross   - It is with the heaviest of hearts and profound sadness that the family announces the passing of their beloved Ross (88), on April 2, 2021, at Centenary Hospital.

He was a loving husband and best friend to his wife, Joan for 70 years of marriage, during which time they raised six children together: Sandra, Brian (Sue), Janice, deceased (Terry Belbin), Steven (Sandra), Ken (Nicole), Kathy (Scott Riley).

He was a proud grandfather to ten grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren, who will miss him terribly.

He will also be missed by extended family and many classic car loving friends from the Model A Owners of Canada, HASC and ACCCC Durham, and by his friends at Dunbarton Fairport United Church.

He was one in a million and will never be forgotten.

We love you so very much.

The family would like to thank the staff of Centenary Hospital for caring for him in his final days and asks that any donations made in Ross' honour go towards Parkinson Canada.

Arrangements are being handled by the SIMPLE ALTERNATIVE FUNERAL CENTRE - PICKERING , and the family will arrange a service at a future date, when we are able.
