CHIODO, Aurelio Chiodo  -  It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we have to announce the peaceful passing of Aurelio Chiodo, with his loving family by his side on April 11, 2021 at 3:01am, at the age of 82.

Aurelio, beloved husband of Cristina for 58-year wonderful years.

Loving and amazing father of Maria (Tom), Pina (Pat) and Santo (Sandy).

Cherished Nonno of Jeffrey (Emily), Christie (Matt), Patrick (Sonia), Felicia, Simone and Elio.

Wonderful Great Nonno of Sophie, Jaxon, Leo, Thomas and his little princess Aria. Aurelio, son of Santo and Caterina, brother of Lina, Emilia, Mena, Dora, Dina, Tonino, and Alfonso.  He will be lovingly remembered and immensely missed by his extended family and friends both here in Canada and in Italy.

Aurelio lived for his family.  He often said how lucky he was to have a wife who loved him unconditionally, whom he adored.  His 3 children who he loved and was so very proud of, his grandchildren and great grandchildren who he adored and made his family complete.  The truth is, his family were the lucky ones to have him.

Aurelio lived the most remarkable life.  He was born in Calabria, Italy.  He immigrated to Canada in 1961 to start a life with his beautiful love Cristina and that he did.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date when restrictions of the pandemic are lifted and we can celebrate his life the way he would love to.

Thank you all for the prayers and support, and a  Big Thank you to Dr. Barrettara, Dr. Schattner, Dr. Jane Huynh, staff home caregivers of Central East LHIN and Lakeridge Health Oshawa Palliative Care.
