MERKAS, John - April 26th, 1944 - April 9th, 2021
Peacefully passed away on Friday, April 9, 2021 at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville, at the age of 76.
Beloved husband of Mary.
Loving father of Olivia (William) and Cynthia (Richard).
Cherished grandfather of Emily, Alina, and Sophia.
John retired after 30 years of service at the General Motors Truck Plant.
He will be remembered as a very loving husband and adoring father and grandfather.
His family will miss his insight, his sense of humour, and his unconditional love.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 from 3-6 p.m. at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME (124 King St. E., Oshawa).
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 11 a.m. at ST. GEORGE THE GREAT MARTYR UKRAINIAN CATHOLIC CHURCH . If you wish to attend the visitation or service, registration is required.
