GEORGE, David Edward - (March 31, 1947 - April 9, 2021) -
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of David Edward George, too young at 74.
He will always be remembered by his beloved wife of 52 years, Frances (nee Snow). Daughter Michelle Dempsey (predeceased by Robert), son Christopher and grandson Cole; brothers Gordon (Donna) George, John(Mary)Lawrence; sisters Paula (Paul) Johnson, Claudia (Luke) Draper and numerous family and friends.
Dave was a retired Sgt of the Metropolitan Toronto Police for 28 years, where many lifelong friendships were made.
During his career, he spent a great deal of time organizing and volunteering with the Special Olympics at Variety Village.
He enjoyed gardening, playing golf and cooking. The past 6 summers were spent up north relaxing with his wife and trailer park family, who will miss him greatly.
"Gone from our sight but never from our hearts."
At the request of the family, a private service/cremation will be held.
