Salter PatriciaSALTER, Patricia (Manz/Drewniak) - (April 16, 1948 – April 27, 2021)

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved sister Patricia after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease; at Trinity Care Centre, Penticton, B.C. on April 27, 2021.

Predeceased by her devoted husband Frank Salter (2019), her loving parents John (1998) and Heddy Drewniak (2013).  Much loved sister of Irene (Larry) Grabowski. Stepmother to Judy (Fraser) Park, Mark, Jodi (LeeAnne).

She will be missed by her family and friends in Ontario, B.C., Ukraine and Germany.

Patricia grew up in the Cedardale area of Oshawa amongst a vibrant Ukrainian Community. She attended Cedardale Public School, Mt. Mary Immaculate Academy (Ancaster) and Donevan Collegiate.

She attended St. George’s Ukrainian Catholic Church along with her family and although living far away, never forgot her roots in her church or community.

After her husband Frank’s retirement, they moved to the beautiful Okanagan Valley, B.C.

There they lived a full, busy, and happy life until their health declined.  Patricia entered Trinity Care Centre followed by Frank.

Special thank you to Ken and Dorothy Salter for their care and support of Patricia and Frank. Patricia’s family will be forever indebted to the Trinity Care Centre for their many years of exemplary care provided to her and Frank.

In accordance to Patricia’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

A Memorial mass will be held at   ST. GEORGE THE GREAT MARTYR UKRAINIAN CATHOLIC CHURCH following Covid Regulations.  Live streaming will be available.  Date to be announced.
