FOSTER, John Willard   - With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Jack (John) Foster, who peacefully passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Monday May 3, 2021, at the age of 78 years.

Loving husband of Debra, devoted father of Darik (Jenn), Tami (Steve), and Todd (Rachel), grandfather of Victoria (Kyle), Tyler (Breanna), Spencer, Taylor, Tanner, and Kassie, great-grandfather of Emerson, brother of Dorothy Dawdy, brother-in-law of Deloris and Jim Clements and uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.

He also leaves behind his cuddle mates, Max and Ruby. He will be dearly missed.

Born in St. Thomas, Ontario on January 4, 1943, he moved to Oshawa, Ontario as a young adult.

He spent 40 years as a Brinks Canada employee, and devoted decades of service as an on-ice official, and later as a supervisor, for the Metro Toronto and Greater Toronto Hockey Leagues.

Passionate about hockey, he spent many years volunteering with the Timmy Tyke Tournaments.

Jack will be remembered fondly for his kind heart and sense of humour.

He will be laid to rest at MOUNT LAWN CEMETERY in Whitby, Ontario.

In lieu of flowers, Jack’s family requests donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Hockey Canada Foundation.
