SCHROOR, Gerald - (December 6, 1927 - May 6, 2021)
Passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on May, 6, 2021 at the age of 93.
Predeceased by his wife Irene (nee Bakker).
Loving father of George (Karen), Marjorie and Theresa (Dale).
Adored Poppa of Nathan (Jen), Matthew (Ally), Mark (Jillian), Aaron, Sean, Caitlyn and Kelsey. Great grandfather of Abby, Lucas, Zachary, Oakley and Ruby.
Gerald also leaves behind many nieces and nephews from both Holland and the US.
He is predeceased by his parents and his two sisters.
Gerald will be forever remembered for his strong work ethic and his love of gardening.
The family wish to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the caring and compassionate staff of both Traditions of Durham and Lakeridge Health Oshawa for professionalism shown to Gerald and his family.
Due to COVID-19, attendance is limited and masks are mandatory.
A funeral service will take place on May 11th at 1 pm at THORNTON CEMETERY and FUNERAL CENTRE , 1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, (South of Taunton Road and off of Dryden Blvd, 905-579-6787).
Donations will be gratefully accepted for the Refuge in Oshawa.
