WICKETT, Alfred 'Wayne' - (1940 - 2021) - Peacefully and surrounded by his two best girls, Wayne passed away on May 8th, 2021 in his 81st year following a battle with Alzheimer's; a life very well lived and enjoyed.

Wayne will be lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend of 53 years, Jean Wickett (nee Crowder); his daughter Robin Penton (David) and his grandchildren Joshua and Jonah.

He was predeceased by his parents, Helen Wickett (nee Jeffery) and Alfred Wickett.

Born and raised in Foxboro, Ontario he eventually moved to Oshawa before settling with his family in Bowmanville for these past 46 years. Most of his career was spent at General Motors where he worked for 36 years and retired as Business Manager of the Oshawa car assembly plant.

Wayne has left a legacy as a devoted family man who was full of integrity and we will forever be grateful for the memories.

He was an all-around great guy who people could always count on for advice or help.

The family would like to thank the health care professionals at Lakeridge Health Ajax, especially the nurses on 2East, who showed such compassion and care at the end of his journey.

Due to current restrictions, a celebration of Wayne's life will be held at a later date to be announced.

Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Alzheimer Society or the charity of your choice.
