PEDERSEN, Hazel Cavell - (September 5, 1936 – May 11, 2021)
Hazel peacefully passed away at home with her family.
She is finally united with the love of her life - the late Blenos Pedersen, and is enjoying the eternal presence of her Saviour.
Hazel was the loving mom of Douglas, Larry, Marsha, Lorraine and Jodi and cherished mother-in-law to Mark, Danny, Eddie, and Meghan.
Family was one of the most important things to her.
She was a loving Nana to her grandchildren – Matt, Jennifer, Cathy, Chris, Amanda, Graham, Sonya, Kyle, Tony, Jacob, Samuel and Michelle, and Great Nana to Olivia, Theo and Cameron.
Hazel’s life was full of many blessings, yet her heart was for others. She valued deep relationships with family and friends, she was a natural care giver and encourager to many.
Her careers flowed out of her focus on others as a pastor, a nurse, a teacher and a counselor in her later years.
Through the years of working for others, she also gave her time to the church and taught others how to be ‘People Helpers. She shared her love and teaching of the Word with her Salvation Army church, friends and family. Her heart’s burning desire was for people to enjoy her love for Jesus and her farewell line to many was “Keep close to the Lord."
